One sequence-defined identity. Every recorded name.

V, D, J, C immunoglobulin and T-cell receptor allele sequences. Resolve recorded names from contributing sources to one canonical germline identity across 40 species. Names are labels; the sequence is identity.

Coverage is partial. Citations arrive two ways: a source publishes them with its records, or AIRBabel mines a paper's full text and supplements. Neither is exhaustive; most of what is loaded today comes from curated sets that carry their own references. An empty result therefore means AIRBabel holds no citation linking that paper to an allele, not that the paper describes none. Treat a linked record as evidence within AIRBabel and an empty result as absence of recorded linkage.

About AIRBabel

AIRBabel aggregates immunoglobulin and T-cell receptor allele reference data from IMGT, OGRDB and curated sets. Records are identified by sequence rather than by name, so a name from any contributing source resolves to one canonical germline identity carrying its aliases, leader, RSS and cross-species neighbours. It complements the primary databases and does not adjudicate nomenclature.
