RHESUS-DKP2I3W4X

AIRBabel's deterministic identifier, minted from the sequence (SPECIES-CODE+hash) i: a stable sequence-derived identifier, not an official allele name. This sequence's names from each source are listed under Allele names.

StatusArchived · seen 2013-01-20 → 2020-01-31 SpeciesMacaca mulatta LocusIGH TypeD FunctionalNone Length18 nt RecordSuperseded

a Macaca mulatta IGH D allele sequence, 18 nt, not recorded, archived. The nucleotide sequence is below, with every recorded name and its source.

A newer source record exists for this allele designation. IGHD1-7*01 is still published by IMGT as RHESUS-DE5JFVNXR, 17 nt, whose bases differ from this one. This is the earlier record (18 nt, current in IMGT releases 2013-01-20–2020-01-31). The allele was not renamed and it was not withdrawn: IMGT changed the published sequence extent associated with this designation. Both extents are kept because a sequence is identified by its bases, so a change in extent is a different sequence.

Find similar (nt · aa · cross-species) i

Everything comparative about this sequence (the exact differences to other alleles, protein consequence, IMGT alignment, cross-species nearest) is shown per hit in the results of this query.

Restricted for D genes: only 18 nt alleles are compared, position by position. D genes are too short (8–148 nt, median 19 nt) for edit-distance scores to be interpreted reliably; the metric can open gaps that inflate identity, and at 19 nt the 0.75 identity floor is about four mismatches. A D allele is therefore compared only against D alleles of exactly the same length, scored position by position. Alleles of the same gene that differ in length are not ranked here; separating those requires a multiple-sequence alignment, not a pairwise score.

Ranks D alleles of the same length, by positional identity. Also available at /api/sequences/RHESUS-DKP2I3W4X/similar?min_identity=0.95&kind=nt.
